Anthony (Ju Young) Kim is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in Korea focused on mergers and acquisitions advisory and valuation services. Anthony brings over 20 years of capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investment experiences.
Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Anthony was the managing director of the Alternative Investment Division at Consus Asset Management, a prominent domestic asset manager. During his tenure, he successfully managed multiple significant investment deals. Previously, Anthony held key roles at Deutsche Bank in Seoul as an equity trader, and TVG Capital Partners, JPMorgan in Hong Kong where he was a senior associate responsible for Asia-Pacific private equity investments.
Anthony's expertise in mergers and acquisitions advisory, valuation services, and private equity investments includes:
- Facilitating the sale of a controlling stake in Hanarotelecom (now SK Broadband), Korea’s second-largest broadband and IPTV provider
- Structuring a collateralized bridge loan to Polar Energy & Marine, a holding company with a substantial stake in Polaris Shipping, Korea’s largest and globally prominent dry bulk carrier
- Advising on greenfield and brownfield investments in independent power plant infrastructure projects
- Providing strategic advisory services to Korean life insurance companies on various investment opportunities
