Amit Agarwal

Amit Agarwal is a Partner with the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice in India. He has over 10 years of experience in Transfer Pricing services such as local transfer pricing documentation and compliances, master file, country-by-country report and global transfer pricing documentation to leading MNCs across a range of industries such as consumer durables, industrial goods, software and ITES, pharmaceutical, infrastructure and FMCG.

Prior to Nangia Andersen India Pvt. Ltd., Amit held senior transfer pricing and tax advisory  positions in various firms including BMR Advisors, Deloitte and PwC.

He has also advised clients on transfer pricing valuations including intangible valuations. He has been involved in various complex assignments involving IP structuring, migration, business restructuring,  intra-group cost allocations and implementation of global transfer pricing policies, profit attribution analysis, Fin 48 analysis and global allocation mechanism.

On the dispute resolution front, he has been actively involved in assisting multi-national companies resolve transfer pricing disputes at almost all appellate forums including DRP, ITAT, Advance Pricing Arrangement and Mutual Agreement Procedure. He has also assisted various legal counsels in High Court and other legal matters.

Amit has co-authored a book on transfer pricing published by Lexis Nexis and has written numerous articles on complex issues surrounding transfer pricing. He is a regular speaker at various forums including PHDCCI, ASSOCHAM and IFA.

He is an active speaker at various tax forums and conferences. He has also contributed views and articles on transfer pricing and international tax matters in leading financial dailies like Economic Times and Financial Express, and various tax journals like Bloomberg BNA, International Tax Review and Taxmann.
