The Republic of Panama is in the center of the Western Hemisphere, bordered on the north by the Caribbean Sea, the East with the Republic of Colombia, the south by the Pacific Ocean, and the West with the Republic of Costa Rica. Panama is the link between Central America and South America.

These types of entities can be used for the operation of any type of commercial business. A business can also be operated by a single owner.

Branch of a foreign company: Foreign companies may establish branches or agencies in Panama who are intended to start operations within the country’s territory, and they will need to file with the Public Registry of Panama their registration documents listed below. Branch and/or permanent establishment of foreign corporations can be established in Panama branches or agencies for the purpose of starting operations in the country’s territory, which must present documentation for registration with the Panamanian Mercantile Registry. Panama’s Commercial Code stipulates that foreign corporations will not be able to perform activities not allowed in their home country.
