Morocco is located in the northwest of Africa. It is bounded to the north by the Strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean Sea, to the south by Mauritania, to the east by Algeria, and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The Moroccan coastline extends over 3500 km. Morocco has an area of 710,850 square kilometers.
Based on GDP, Morocco ranks fifth in Africa and 60th in the world. The primary sector (agriculture, fisheries, etc.) contributes 14% of GDP, the secondary sector (industry) contributes 29%, and the service sector contributes 57%.
