Andersen is pleased to welcome Janet Canty as a Managing Director in the New York Office. Janet will join the firm’s Private Client Services group. She has over 22 years of experience with income, estate and gift tax planning for ultra-high net worth individuals. Her experience spans many tax areas including estate plan reviews and strategies, pre and post transaction planning, qualified small business stock (QSBS) planning, philanthropic considerations and state residency planning for individuals and trusts.

In her most recent role, Janet was Vice President in the Goldman Sachs Family Office, where her primary responsibility was to offer tax education and consulting to clients and prospects. Prior to that, Janet worked at Frankel, Loughran, Starr & Vallone, LLP (FLSV), WTAS, and Arthur Andersen.

Janet received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting at the University of Iowa and her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Drake University Law School. She is a member of the American Bar Association, AICPA, New York State Society of CPAs and the Iowa State Bar Association.
