Paraskevas Zourntos joined the firm in 2007 and leads the Employment practice.
Paraskevas is a disputes specialist and has successfully represented in courts as well as alternative dispute resolution organizations such as mediation and arbitration, clients across numerous industries including shipping, telecommunications, media & technology (TMT), construction real estate and land development sector, industry, public organizations and sports, in relation to all aspects of corporate employment and labor law.
His expertise extends to advising and representing clients in disputes matters concerning dismissal, labor practices, organizational rights, collective agreements, strikes, class actions, employment discrimination, restrictive covenants/trade secrets, accidents and fatality.
He also advises on matters related to wage-and-hour compliance under the Greek Law and EU regulations, collective bargaining agreements, strategic plans for negotiations, restructurings and reorganization measures, reductions-in-force, statutory requirements for fair-workplace standards, proprietary or confidential information, executive contracts, terminations and remuneration arrangements.
In addition, he has extensive experience in dealing with works councils. He advises companies on employment issues in corporate transactions, develops workplace policies, procedures, and handbooks, develops programs for voluntary buy-outs and involuntary reductions-in-force, and negotiates employment agreements and compensation plans.
Paraskevas has been singled out as the Next Generation Partner in the employment area by the Legal 500 EMEA 2020 edition.
