Won Shin

Won Shin is a Managing Director in the Commercial practice with a focus on M&A. Won has over 25 years of experience in public accounting, more than 17 of which he has spent in mergers and acquisitions, specializing as a subject matter expert (SME) in tax attribute analyses such as transaction costs analysis (TCA) and Section 382 analysis, as well as transactional modeling.

He has an extensive background in advising corporate and private equity clients on transaction costs. Won regularly reviews Section 382 matters in connection with audits as well as executing full-scope Section 382 projects.

Won’s industry experience includes aerospace and defense, government contracting, biotech, health care services, hospitality, real estate, energy and utilities, and media and entertainment.

Before joining Andersen, Won was a Managing Director in EY’s International Tax and Transaction Services (Transaction Tax) practice and National Co-leader of the Transaction Costs Analysis practice.
