Matthew Wachler is a managing director in the Commercial practice with over 16 years of experience in public and private tax services. His expertise includes accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, tax controversy, tax department outsourcing, and tax compliance across diverse industries, including airline, technology, and manufacturing.

Matthew has consistently championed his clients' interests, providing strategic tax guidance and support. He currently manages the tax function for several privately held and publicly traded companies, handling all aspects of tax reporting, compliance, and planning.

Before joining Andersen, Matthew was a key member of the Corporate Income Tax Department at Canon USA and provided essential tax compliance support to middle-market companies during his time at Marcum.
