Diego Ures

Diego Ures is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in Brazil. He is a seasoned leader with extensive experience managing high-impact economic development projects for governments, industry associations, and multinational corporations. Diego specializes in global trade and market access, focusing on the analysis of complex trade and industrial policies that shape the flow of critical resources. His leadership has been pivotal in helping stakeholders navigate geopolitical challenges, expand market share, and increase profitability in a dynamic international landscape.

Diego is skilled at assessing political, regulatory, and economic frameworks, with a particular focus on Latin America. His expertise spans developmental policy, WTO law, market access strategy, trade in goods and services, government procurement, commercial diplomacy, and global business strategy. His insights help companies expand their international presence through informed, strategic approaches.

Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Diego was a partner at Sidera Consult where he led the Global Market Access Team. Diego has worked with the European Government in Latin America, including his role in the "Technical Support to EU Market Access Team and Trade Policies Analysis in Brazil." He also contributed to the US-Colombia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) while at the United States Chamber of Commerce. As a permanent member of several advisory boards, he offers mentoring and strategic guidance, advising governments, industry associations, and global corporations on trade and non-trade barriers. Diego is an active member of the French and Spanish Chambers of Commerce in Brazil.
