Dr. Oliver Trautmann advises multinational companies in corporate tax law. His mainly focuses on corporate reorganizations, international and cross-border tax law, and tax support in M&A transactions. He additionally provides representation in tax litigation.
He recently oversaw the outsourcing of the entire German tax department of a globally-listed financial institution and served as in-house manager, advisor and liaison. He also led projects to develop and successfully implemented certifiable tax compliance management systems.
Prior to joining Andersen in Germany, Oliver spent three years at WTS as Managing Director and Corporate Tax Partner. After beginning his career in corporate finance, he joined the corporate law firm Haarmann Hemmelrath and advised mainly large, U.S. listed companies in corporate tax.
Afterwards at Arthur Andersen and EY, he advised corporations in international tax law and investors in transactions. Upon joining the German-based European law firm Noerr LLP, he set up the corporate tax department in the Frankfurt office and was co-leader of the tax M&A practice.
Who’s Who Legal 2019 recommends him as leading German Corporate Tax Advisor. Best Lawyers in Germany 2025 list him as leading advisor in tax law.
