Tony Brown

Tony Brown is a managing director in the US National Tax practice with over 43 years of experience providing tax consulting and advice on real estate, energy, and financial services transactions.

Tony has extensive experience in partnership, REIT, UpREIT, Up-C, and MLP structures. Throughout his career, Tony has led projects related to outbound and inbound transactions, private partnership conversions, and public offerings. Tony has experience structuring private equity funds in multiple industries to accommodate US taxable investors, US tax-exempt investors, foreign investors, and qualified foreign pension funds.

Before joining Andersen, Tony was a partner at a big four firm, a part of its transaction tax practice. He was also a partner at Arthur Andersen where he served as head of the U.S. real estate industry practice and led the mid-Atlantic tax practice.
