Chris Spiegelman is a managing director in Andersen’s Alternative Investment Funds practice and has more than 30 years of experience advising clients across the asset management industry. Chris works extensively with private equity, hedge funds, private credit, and structured investment vehicles, bringing deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, fund structuring, and complex investment platforms.
Chris focuses on advising asset managers and investment partnerships on tax planning and compliance, fund and management company structuring, carried interest and incentive arrangements, and fund accounting and operational matters.
In addition to his asset management practice, Chris has a significant focus on the family office space, advising single- and multi-family offices on investment structuring, portfolio tax efficiency, co-investment vehicles, and coordination between operating businesses, investment entities, and personal planning objectives.
Before joining Andersen, Chris served as Tax Director for a private equity and hedge fund firm, supporting a broad range of investment strategies including buyouts, mezzanine financing, venture capital, and credit products. Earlier in his career, Chris was with PwC, where he advised investment funds and their principals on complex partnership and transactional tax matters.
