Mark Schutzman

Mark Schutzman is a managing director in Andersen’s Tax Transformation and Innovation practice. He brings nearly four decades of experience in the tax and consulting industry, focusing on building high-performing teams, designing innovative service offerings, and transforming the operational effectiveness of tax functions at large public and private companies.

Mark advises clients on tax department strategy, operating model transformation, and digital enablement, including process automation and data architecture and management. He also supports risk and governance frameworks, outsourced compliance model design, performance benchmarking and analytics, and the development and integration of tax technology platforms.

Mark’s primary focus is leading the practice’s efforts across strategy, team building, branding, recruiting, and service delivery development. He works closely with practice leadership to define and scale next-generation tax transformation services that meet the evolving needs of the firm’s clients.

Before joining Andersen, Mark held leadership roles at EY and PwC. At EY he served as the Americas Deputy Leader and East Region Leader for the Tax Technology and Transformation practice. At PwC he was the New York Metro Business Compliance Outsourcing practice leader and established the Tax Function Effectiveness practice.
