Carolina Saldanha-Ures is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in Brazil. She has deep expertise in international trade law, having worked in the field since 1999. Recognized annually as one of the top global trade lawyers since 2003, she has played a pivotal role in bilateral, regional, and multilateral trade negotiations for various corporations. Carolina's expertise includes advising on trade barrier removal, policy formulation for exporters, and regional integration, with a broad focus on industrial policies, export restrictions, and trade regulations. She has extensive experience across both public and private sectors, leading international teams in market access and investment attraction initiatives for clients worldwide.
Before joining Andersen Consulting, Carolina was the CEO of Sidera Consult. In 2018, Brazil nominated Carolina to serve as a panelist for the World Trade Organization (WTO), and in 2023 she became vice president of the Brazilian Institute for Sustainable Mobility (IBMS). She was also president of the UK-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (Britcham São Paulo) until 2022, where she held various leadership roles for almost a decade. Carolina has also contributed to governmental trade enhancement and capacity-building projects, advising on WTO principles, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, legislative drafting, and trade remedies.
Carolina provides advisory services to clients navigating economic law, international trade, and sustainability issues, particularly in sectors like science, chemicals, steel, paper, and agribusiness.
