Francisco Briones Rugel

Francisco Briones Rugel is a professional at Andersen in Ecuador with over 15 years of experience in business advisory, trade representation, economic analysis, public policy, and executive management in both private and public sectors.

Throughout his career, Francisco has specialized in advising companies across various sectors and industries, including mass consumption, construction, pharmaceuticals, finance, telecommunications, among others. Furthermore, he is an opinion leader on economic, tax, and productive topics.

He continuously contributes his insights to international investment banks, was a local contributor for The Economist, and has designed and taught courses in graduate programs at prestigious local universities.

During his civil service, he held key strategic positions in the Presidency of the Republic of Ecuador, presided over the board of a public bank, and served as general director of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
