Travis Rose

Travis Rose is a managing director in the US National Tax practice in Andersen’s Washington, D.C., office. Travis has more than 11 years of experience in areas involving the taxation of partnerships and joint ventures.

Travis has advised clients on a variety of complex structures and transactions involving partnerships and joint ventures, including consulting on and modeling of partnership formations, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Travis’ primary areas of practice include:

• Structuring and other transactional issues involving partnerships and joint ventures, including formations, acquisitions, and dispositions
• Interpreting and modeling partnership distribution waterfalls for determining targeted capital accounts and partnership profit and loss allocations
• Structuring of Up-C IPO deals and modeling of tax receivable agreement benefits
• Modeling various economic arrangements, including the impact of implementing carried interest structures for large family office partnerships
• Supporting partnership tax compliance and reporting matters related to Form 1065 and Schedule K-1
• Consulting on issues related to the application of Sections 163(j) and 168(k) to partnerships and their partners
• Modeling allocations and other transactional issues related to UPREITs and operating partnerships

Before joining Andersen, Travis worked at EY in the National Tax Department, focusing on transactions related to partnerships and joint ventures. He also previously worked at PwC in the mergers and acquisitions practice within the Washington National Tax Services group, focusing on transactional issues involving partnerships and joint ventures.
