Yajaira Alvarado Romero

Yajaira is a partner at Andersen in Ecuador. She has over 18 years of experience in tax advisory across various sectors and industries, particularly in the industrial, logistics, real estate, and export sectors. She leads the Tax Compliance practice at Andersen in Ecuador, focusing on preventative risk management and the development of control models.

In recent years, she has driven the evolution of the compliance model through process standardization and the incorporation of technology to enhance the consistency and efficiency of this service. Her experience includes the design of accounting and tax strategies for the defense of taxpayers in tax audit processes, tax recovery matters, and tax planning.

Between 2022 and 2023, she was part of the Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service (SRI), serving first as Advisor to the General Director and later as Deputy Director, participating in control processes, regulatory interpretation, and the design of tax reforms.
