Richard A. Dauman is a managing director in the Private Client Services practice in Andersen’s New York City office. He has over 30 years of experience consulting with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, including CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, entrepreneurs, investment professionals, media personalities, sports franchise owners, and professional athletes across several areas, including income tax planning and compliance for individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations, wealth transfer planning and residency, and domicile planning and controversy.

Richard has a unique perspective working with family offices, having been part of the tax team within a single-family office and a tax advisor within a multi-family office.

Before joining Andersen, Richard worked as a senior tax manager at a single-family office/private investment company where he was responsible for the tax planning and compliance for the family members, trusts, investment partnerships, personal holding company, and family foundation. Richard also worked as a Director in the Private Client Services group of national and regional CPA firms and at Bessemer Trust, a wealth management firm, as a principal and senior Tax Consultant, responsible for income tax planning and compliance for a group of ultra-high net worth individuals and their families.
