Ralph Elder

Ralph Elder is a Managing Director in the Commercial practice. Ralph has over 35 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting and has served a wide variety of entities. He has spent much of his professional career working closely with and assisting tax departments of large, complex, multistate corporations with their federal, state and international income tax filing obligations.

Ralph has also worked with large public and private corporations on their financial statement tax provisions (ASC 740). He has experience with a wide variety of industries, including retail, technology development, manufacturing and distribution, and telecommunications.

Ralph’s experience includes:

• Tax planning and compliance services including full-out sourcing,co-sourcing and review-only engagements
• Computation and review of financial statement tax provisions (ASC740)
• Internal Revenue Service examinations including preparation ofresponses to Information Document Requests and negotiations withIRS agents
• Preparation of earnings and profits studies and stock basis studies
• Preparation and analysis of net operating loss carry forwardlimitations (382 studies) due to ownership changes

Before joining Andersen, Ralph practiced with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Seattle for over 24 years.
