Monika is an economist and a licensed Tax Advisor with 19 years of experience. Prior to joining Andersen, Monika had gained her professional experience working for Big Four companies as well as for Polish offices of globally operating law firms where she participated in numerous M&A projects.
She advises companies from the FMCG sector as well as from the pharmaceutical and financial sector. Furthermore, Monika has extensive experience in advising the largest oil & gas companies operating in Poland. She carried out tax reviews for the biggest Polish refinery, participated in the tax due diligence of a Lithuanian refinery as well as of power stations and wind farms in Poland, served a Scandinavian company holding fuel stations in Poland and carried out training courses for entities operating in oil & gas sector.
The scope of her practice includes advising on income taxes (CIT and PIT) and VAT issues. In her practice, Monika focuses on tax implications of activities in the fields of advertising, marketing and promotion, financing of companies and international cash flows, including issues related to withholding tax. Monika has also represented clients before tax authorities and administrative courts in the matters of issuing of individual tax rulings.
Monika is the author of numerous publications on tax issues, including the co-authored commentary on the Sixth VAT Directive as well as the publication titled Taxes in Pharmacy. She has also participated and conducted numerous tax training courses and seminars. In 2017 she was recognized as one of the best Polish Tax Advisors by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (Polish professional daily newspaper) and in 2017 – 2019 by International Tax Review.
