Paolo Trevisanato has extensive knowledge and experience of fiscal planning, consulting in extraordinary transaction, corporate compliance and due diligence. He provides tax advice on M&A, business divisions (including non-profit organization) and assurance of compliance with income tax requirements.
Paolo helps non-profit entities to understand tax issues and maximize corporate resources. He also assists company tax departments struggling with complex compliance, reporting requirements, and tax disclosure.
To prevent inefficiencies across organizations, he helps with strategic tax planning and redesigning current tax accounting processes.
As an expert in tax due diligence, Paolo manages tax risks through the following ways of the adjustments to the purchase price, additions of sufficient warranties and indemnities, better understanding of the target client tax profile, identification of tax exposures, and assistance in identifying and developing a suitable acquisition structure for client deals.
Furthermore, he recognizes potential tax benefits that the client has not yet visualized and/or claimed.
Paolo teaches a course on extraordinary operations at the Trainee School of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Auditors of Venice. Between 1999 and 2011, he was a temporary lecturer on economic policy and finance at the Venice Ca’ Foscari University.
