Emeka Onwuka is a partner and head of the private clients and family wealth services practice at Andersen (Nigeria). He has more than 36 years of experience in accounting, tax, banking, and the oil and gas industry. His background includes advising organizations on accounting, audit, tax, business advisory, and strategic matters, as well as serving in executive leadership roles for leading financial institutions and public companies.

Emeka began his career with Arthur Andersen in Nigeria in 1988 as a staff assistant and advanced to senior consultant before leaving the firm in 1992. During his tenure, he provided accounting, audit, tax, business advisory, and strategic services to clients across the banking, oil and gas, manufacturing, and commercial sectors.

Before joining Andersen, Emeka served as chief financial officer and executive director of Seplat Energy PLC. He also held senior leadership positions at Diamond Bank, where he helped guide the bank through the industry's 2004-2005 consolidation and recapitalization, including private placements, its listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and the acquisition of Lion Bank Plc. He also played a key role in expanding the bank's operations across West Africa, including Benin, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Togo.

Emeka serves on the boards of several organizations, including Hellopay Africa, FMDQ Securities Exchange Ltd, FMDQ Group Plc, and Airtel Networks Ltd. He has completed executive education programs at Lagos Business School, The Wharton School, Harvard Business School, and Kellogg School of Management. He is also the recipient of the Nigerian National Honor, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
