Nate Hampton

Nate Hampton is a Managing Director in the Alternative Investment Funds practice. Nate has 12 years of experience in providing tax compliance and consulting services for a variety of clients in the asset management industry including private equity funds, operating portfolio companies, hedge funds, fund of funds, investment partnerships, and management companies.

During his career, Nate’s tax compliance experience has included a diverse range of tax reporting for several types of funds and their investors. Specifically, he has assisted clients in navigating complex partnership allocation issues, the calculation and reporting of United States withholding for foreign investors, Passive Foreign Investment Company reporting, and the preparation of annual investor statements.

In addition to tax compliance and reporting, Nate has been involved in consulting matters related to tax due diligence, acquisition and disposition structuring, tax planning for debt workouts, and tax-efficiency planning for complex fund structures.

Nate began his career with Andersen. Before rejoining the firm in 2019, he served as a manager in KPMG’s Financial Services tax practice where he provided tax services to both large publicly traded investment companies and privately held investment vehicles.
