Max Pakaluk is a managing director in the US National Tax practice in Andersen’s Washington, D.C. office. Max has extensive experience in areas involving pass-through entities and partnership transactions.
Max has advised clients on a wide variety of complex structures and transactions, including UP-C structures, leveraged buyouts, international joint ventures, partnership restructurings, and distressed partnerships, as well as working with investment funds, their sponsors, and their investors.
Before joining Andersen, Max was a tax law specialist at the Internal Revenue Service. Previously, Max worked in the national partnership group at a Big Four accounting firm and in the tax department of a major international law firm.
Max teaches an advanced partnership course and a course on the taxation of private equity and hedge funds at the Georgetown University Law Center.
