Olivia Kyarimpa Matovu is a partner in Ligomarc Advocates’ dispute resolution practice, with deep experience in litigation and arbitration—particularly disputes involving regulated sectors, state-owned agencies, infrastructure projects, and high-stakes commercial and tax controversies. Her approach reflects Ligomarc's Vision 2030 & Beyond agenda: disciplined governance, evidence-led strategy, and execution-ready advocacy that protects value and withstands scrutiny. She has acted as counsel in international arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Rules, supported cross-border dispute strategies, and also serves in leadership and training roles within key arbitration institutions and legal education. Her representative experience includes serving as counsel for UETCL in international arbitration (UNCITRAL) involving a USD 1.257m advisory dispute; defending a construction company in UNCITRAL arbitration interim measures application; executing litigation + negotiation strategy for UNOC cross-border litigation; team representation in Bank of Uganda Defined Benefits Scheme v URA (UGX 41bn); strategic dispute resolution support in Umeme v ERA; serving as local counsel in Crane Bank shareholders v dfcu (London High Court); and being appointed arbitrator in a UGX 106m contract dispute involving UNRA.
