Mario Mananghaya

Mario Mananghaya is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in the Philippines. He built a distinguished career in the accounting profession, becoming a Philippine partner at three of the world’s largest accounting firms: the former Arthur Andersen & Co (SGV & Co.), former Coopers & Lybrand, and KPMG.

After retiring from SGV & Co. as head of the audit practice, Mario served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at a pioneering mobile telecommunications company in the Philippines. He later became chairman and managing partner of KPMG Laya Mananghaya & Co., a position he held until his retirement in 2007. Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Mario was the chairman and chief executive officer of KSearch Asia Consulting. He currently serves as a chairman and business advisor to various companies and organizations in different sectors.

Mario is an awardee of the Accountancy Centenary Award of Excellence, presented by the Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Accountancy in celebration of 100 years of the accountancy profession in the Philippines. This prestigious award recognizes Filipino CPAs who have demonstrated unquestionable integrity, made significant contributions to the advancement of the accountancy profession, and participated remarkably in national development.
