Carla Malhão is a Partner at Andersen in Portugal.
Carla started her career as a tax lawyer at PwC more than 20 years ago. She was Head of Tax Litigation at PwC Porto Legal office.
Together with Luísa Curado and Teresa Nogueira, she founded the law firm Curado, Nogueira & Associados (CNA). CNA joined Andersen as a collaborating firm in 2018 and became a member firm in 2020.
At Andersen in Portugal, Carla Malhão provides advice to international and national companies on tax and social security matters, the handling of tax litigation cases before the administrative and tax courts and the tax arbitration center, and the coordination of teams in tax due diligence.
She has experience in corporate restructuring, M&A, assisting clients during tax and social security inspections, and in the field of public law and public procurement.
Carla’s clients are active in a variety of industry sectors, including manufacturing, food and beverage, port wine, tourism, logistics and transportation.
Carla Malhão has been on the official list of arbitrators at the Administrative Arbitration Center (CAAD) since the creation of the entity and a guest lecturer in post-graduate and master’s degree courses in taxation for several years.
