Maher Iskander

Maher Iskander is the Founder and Managing Partner of the firm and has over 30 years of practical experience in commercial and corporate law, both with providing legal consultations and representing SMEs, large corporations and multinational companies operating in a variety of sectors.

Maher is capable of representing clients before all levels of the court, including the Egyptian Higher Courts in economic disputes, as well as corporate governance related litigation, for example, shareholder disputes, disputes on public take-over bids and squeeze-out procedures, joint-venture disputes, and matters involving a merger and acquisition/sale, commercial contract or unfair competition.

In addition to the above, Maher represents clients in matters concerning white-collar crimes affecting corporate activity such as bribery, corruption and embezzlement, information technology crimes, commercial fraud and illegitimate competition.

Maher is also a strong negotiator with banks to reduce the burden of debt in cases of insolvency, with the purpose of corporate restructuring.
