Chad Kymal is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in Ann Arbor with more than 40 years of expertise in organizational improvement, specializing in cybersecurity, digital business transformation, supply chain, sustainability (including Net Zero), and operational excellence.

Throughout his distinguished career, Chad has served on the Malcolm Baldrige Board of Examiners and received numerous accolades, including the 2025 Quality Professional of the Year award from the American Society for Quality Automotive Division.

Chad spearheaded a Ford Motor initiative, aligning strategic objectives (strategy alignment) with KPIs, process measurables, and key processes for Ford and its supply base. This senior management governance methodology drove rapid improvements, focusing on customers and key stakeholders. This initiative formed the basis for the automotive industry’s resurgence, and the basis for the operating systems of many Fortune 500 organizations.

Prior to joining Andersen, Chad was CEO of Omnex Systems, and played a crucial role in developing the EWQIMS Suite used by over 250,000 users in major automotive, aerospace, and semiconductor organizations worldwide. The suite has evolved to incorporate AI and machine learning capabilities as of 2024.

Chad actively participates in various ISO committees on quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems. He has contributed to developing standards like the Net Zero Standard IWA 42 and is an expert in carbon neutrality.

Chad is involved in eMobility standards, including ASPICE, functional safety, product cybersecurity, and SOTIF. These standards, combined with Omnex’s Seven Lever Strategy and process integration, are crucial for next-generation electric vehicle development.

A dedicated thought leader, Chad has authored numerous books and papers on management systems integration, Lean Six Sigma, and Net Zero.
