Arun Kumar

Arun Kumar is a managing director at Andersen Consulting, with deep experience in operational excellence (Lean and Six Sigma) and systemic solutions implementation for a range of industries including automotive, general manufacturing, medical devices, semiconductors, and services.

Throughout his career, Arun has served large and medium-sized companies in several capacities, including senior consultant, project manager, and management board advisor.

He has been a strategic advisor for several companies. Arun’s achievements include:

• Championed cross-continent supplier competency programs, driving operational efficiency and strategic supply chain enhancements in Asia Pacific over the last 28 years.
• Led implementation efforts of over 100 projects to ensure compliance and operational excellence across diverse systems and process frameworks.
• Led operational strategy transformations aligned with operational excellence, delivering substantial cost savings and operational improvements totaling over USD $3 billion in savings and optimizations.
• Spearheaded business transformation and continuous improvement efforts, driving significant growth and efficiency gains.
• Proven expertise in guiding diverse, multi-cultural teams to drive strategic transformation projects and deliver impactful results.

As the global vice president and managing director for Omnex's Asia Pacific operations, Arun was instrumental in formulating supply chain strategies and leading supply chain improvement initiatives, enhancing supplier capabilities, orchestrating five successful automotive product launches, and managing implementations for over 250 suppliers across seven countries, including greenfield sites. He is also passionate about sustainability strategy and advisory including carbon footprint (GHG), Net Zero, CBAM, and CSRD.

Arun and his team have assessed competency (Human Capital Assessment) and evaluated job responsibilities and descriptions across the organization. This in-depth assessment leads to comprehensive improvement of the various roles within an organization.

Prior to Andersen, Arun was a partner at Omnex. He was primarily responsible for starting up Omnex's operations in India, Thailand, China, and Dubai in the late ‘90s, and has helped hundreds of organizations in their quest for business excellence and continual improvement.
