As a Managing Director of the Andersen Private Accounting Services practice, she leads a team of professionals dedicated to meeting the day-to-day financial accounting and controllership needs of global high-net-worth families/individuals, investment management companies, and closely held businesses.
Kim specializes in the establishment and management of outsourced global family offices catering to high net worth families. She has effectively overseen numerous consulting initiatives focused on enhancing family office processes, implementing cutting-edge technology, and maximizing overall operational efficiency. Her expertise lies in the successful implementation of finance and accounting systems aligned with operational best practices.
In her capacity overseeing teams across Andersen's global offices, Kim is dedicated to ensuring the seamless delivery of services. She closely collaborates with Andersen professionals to facilitate smooth coordination between offices and service lines. Kim's expertise extends to assisting clients with the preparation of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial statements, as well as leading business process consulting projects to conduct internal control reviews to improve processes, procedures, and efficiency.
With substantial technical and leadership experience, Kim is a highly effective leader in guiding cross-functional teams, identifying opportunities, and shaping executive-level decisions to optimize performance.
Before joining Andersen, she served as a Principal and Senior Management Consultant, providing finance and accounting services to public and private companies. Her primary focus was on providing guidance and support in SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and press releases). During her nearly decade-long tenure as Vice President of Finance and Information Systems at Metro-North Railroad, Kim steered the overall direction of the company’s accounting, budget, and information technology departments. Her professional experience began at PwC, where she provided assurance and business advisory services to clients and offered technical advisory on U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
