Christopher Jones has over 15 years of experience advising clients on business and valuation matters. He focuses on valuations for tax and financial reporting purposes for both closely held and publicly traded companies.
Christopher has valuation experience related to a variety of matters including purchase price allocations, goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible asset impairment studies, complex financial instruments, and common and preferred stock valuations. Christopher has worked with clients in the technology, professional services, financial services, healthcare, cruise ship, airline, and retail industries. He has valued both enterprises and intangible assets including in-process R&D, developed technology, customer relationships, trade names, airline routes and slots, marketing alliances and loyalty program liabilities. He has also valued complex financial instruments such as convertible debt, warrants with anti-dilution ratchet provisions, and stock-based compensation awards with market-based vesting criteria. His work has been subject to successful review by the SEC, IRS and clients’ auditors.
Before joining Andersen, Christopher worked at several national professional service firms where he also performed valuation services for tax and financial reporting services. While working at an economic consulting firm in Washington, D.C., he provided valuation and economic analysis for multi-national corporations involved in international trade disputes at the U.S. International Trade Commission and the World Trade Organization.
