John Shea

John Shea is a managing director and leads the firm’s Global Mobility practice in North America and Latin America. With more than 30 years of experience in tax advisory and expatriate management, John has built a reputation as a trusted leader and valuable resource to clients navigating the complexities of cross-border tax matters. His leadership extends to overseeing the practice’s technical, risk, and quality standards – ensuring they exceed industry benchmarks – as well as developing talent and managing complex multinational client engagements.  

With a deep understanding of international tax laws and regulations, John specializes in designing and implementing effective global mobility strategies for Andersen’s clients. He is adept at advising clients on complex issues such as tax policies, expatriate compensation, and compliance with tax regulations. John’s strategic insights have helped many organizations optimize their global workforce while mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Before joining Andersen, John served as Chief Executive Officer, Americas, at Vialto Partners, leading regional operations for the newly formed company. Prior to that, John concluded his more than two-decade career at PwC, serving as U.S. Global Mobility Tax Leader. John began his career in global mobility at Arthur Andersen, working in both the Tokyo and New York City offices.
