Javier Mata is a Senior Partner at Andersen in Spain and Managing Partner of the Madrid office.
Javier previously worked at J. Mata Estudio Jurídico, Cuatrecasas, Asesores Legales y de Inversiones, Rodríguez-Miranda & Mata and Olleros Abogados.
He specializes in bankruptcy law and restructurings, civil procedural law and arbitration. He has worked on cases regarding financial criminal law and measures for the prevention of occupational hazards.
Javier advises as counsel to the parties involved in various corporate law arbitration proceedings, derived from corporate conflicts. Furthermore, he has advised clients in technically complex arbitration proceedings derived from construction and real estate law. As arbitrator listed in the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, he has resolved a large number of arbitration proceedings related to various different areas such as banking law and industrial disputes.
Javier is a lecturer on insolvency law at the Instituto de Empresa (IE), Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and the Universidad San Pablo CEU and the Universidad Carlos III, among other universities and business schools.
