James Chu

James Chu is a Managing Director in Andersen’s Private Client Services practice in the Orange County office. He specializes in Private Accounting Solutions for high net worth individuals, family offices, and their related closely-held businesses, trusts, estates, and charitable entities. James has over 17 years of experience advising clients on financial matters.

James’ primary focus is advising closely-held business owners, entrepreneurs and wealthy family groups with respect to the strategic, financial, operational, and capital needs of their enterprises.

James’ expertise includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, and accounting for organizations. Additionally, he serves clients with strategic financial decisions in planning for business transactions, including restructuring, acquisitions, and recapitalizations.

Before joining Andersen, James held leadership positions as the vice president of finance and controller within the retail industry. Prior to that, he was a Senior Director at FTI Consulting, where he served in a finance and controller capacity to many organizations and provided support on related financial and accounting activities. James started his career at KPMG in the Audit and Assurance Practice.
