Fouad is a Managing Partner at Andersen in Kuwait and Managing Partner at Andersen in Saudi Arabia. He is also the Co-Regional Managing Director in the Middle East and Regional Managing Director for Central Asia and Asia Pacific. He has over 40 years of experience in tax advisory, tax review, accounting, business advisory, and production sharing agreements.
Fouad has a particular expertise in supporting clients across a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, banking, insurance, hospitality, real estate, construction, business process outsourcing, financial services, non-profit, public sectors, and government projects across the GCC.
Fouad also has extensive experience in due diligence reviews and advisory, cross-border transactions, employee compensation restructuring, and tax optimization reviews.
Fouad has diverse knowledge in advising multinational enterprises (MNEs) on business restructurings with conceptualization stage (greenfield and brownfield projects).
He also has experience in tax planning and advisory, VAT readiness, family business, mediation, and arbitration. He has been actively involved in liaising with the officials at the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, the Ministry of Investment in Saudi Arabia, and the Tax Authority in Qatar
Fouad also serves as a member of the Global Management Committee (GMC) and the Global Admissions Committee (GAC) at Andersen Global.
Prior to joining Andersen, Fouad held positions as the Head of Advisory at RSM Kuwait, Office Managing Partner at EY in Syria and Office Managing Partner at Arthur Andersen in Syria. Fouad has work experience across Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar
