Heather Roush is a Managing Director in the Andersen US National Tax Office and is a member of the Andersen ASC 740 Services and Tax Accounting Methods teams. Heather has over 12 years of tax experience working with both private and public companies.
A large amount of Heather’s experience relates to advising clients on accounting for income taxes, and preparation or review of consolidated federal and multi-state corporate and pass-through tax compliance projects. In addition, Heather has experience helping engagement teams in:
- Tax accounting for mergers, acquisitions and discontinued operations
- Complex income tax accounting for companies with foreign operations
- Uncertain Tax Positions (FIN 48), including issues related to effectively settled positions, and related disclosures
- Valuation allowance evaluations and related documentation
- Implementing quarterly and annual income tax provision processes and tools
- Deferred and effective tax rate reviews
- Performing accounting method reviews and implementing accounting method changes
- Preparation of complex inventory method calculations
- Representing clients undergoing IRS income tax reviews
Heather has served companies operating in a variety of industries including retailers, manufacturers, software developers and natural resources companies.
Prior to Andersen, Heather worked at KPMG as part of their Business Tax Services practice group.
