Ellen Harles has over 32 years of experience advising clients on business and tax matters. Such entities range from emerging businesses, family owner-operated businesses and multi-national companies.
Ellen focuses on accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 for financial statement tax provisions and the related purchase accounting implementation, identification of uncertain tax positions and financial statement disclosures for both public and private enterprises. She has advised clients by customizing and implementing tax provision models and streamlining their tax provision processes for multi-jurisdictional corporate structures. In addition, she has managed large consolidated federal and multi-state corporate and pass-through tax compliance projects, many under private equity ownership.
Ellen has represented clients undergoing IRS and multi-state income tax audits and supervised an IRS “Fast Track” process. She works with clients on buy/sell due diligence projects. Her experience also includes consulting on bankruptcy restructuring tax matters as well as tax basis and earnings and profits studies.
Before joining Andersen, she worked at KPMG which included a foreign office rotational assignment.
