Joe Habak is a managing director and leader of the Tax Technology and Automation group at Andersen. He has over 15 years of experience in tax technology consulting, focusing on tax process and data management improvement services for tax departments.
He specializes in working with U.S. and multi-national clients to design and implement tax technology, in line with re-designing tax processes, with the goal of generating efficiencies through enhanced end-to-end tax department environments. Joe’s strategy is to create a holistic solution that connects all tax data sources, processes and people/providers into a globally aligned, centralized, standardized, automated and integrated platform across the tax lifecycle.
Prior to joining Andersen, Joe was a managing director at KPMG in their National Tax Technology and Transformation group. He also acted as the KPMG global leader for the ONESOURCE WorkFlow manager and DataFlow tax applications. Joe has also worked as a senior tax technology consultant in Deloitte’s TMC practice and at Thomson Reuters.
Joe is a recent winner of the Thomson Reuters Taxologist of the Year award (certified implementer category), which recognizes market leading tax professionals that excel in the use and implementation of tax technology. In addition, many of Joe’s clients have been nominated for and have won the Thomson Reuters Taxologist of the Year award for their highly successful tax department transformations.
Joe is a regular presenter and speaker on tax technology and tax process/data management and improvement in the US and internationally.
