Rajiv Kumar Debnath has over 25 years of expertise in sustainability/ESG, developmental/social responsibility, and allied services. Some engagements led and delivered by him during his professional career, in his areas of expertise, were among the first of their kind in India or globally. Several of these initiatives have been adopted at a national or global level for broader societal and environmental benefits.

Rajiv has over 25 years of experience, including more than 15 years with large advisory firms such as Deloitte and Ernst & Young, where he held national, regional, and global leadership roles. He possesses a sound and balanced understanding of advisory services in his areas of expertise. Rajiv has drafted various white papers, some of which have eventually shaped national policies. He is frequently invited by industry bodies, government entities, UN organizations, and professional organizations in India and abroad for thought leadership and policy development events.

Rajiv is a member of various national and international forums, including UN organizations. For some national panels formed by the nodal national standards development body of India, The Bureau of Indian Standards, Rajiv, in his role as a convener and core drafting team member, has been entrusted with developing the Indian Non-Financial Assurance Standards (IS 26002) for reviewing non-financial matters and the Indian CSR Standard (IS 26001). Rajiv believes in being a trendsetter rather than following trends.
