Guillermo Cruz is managing director at Andersen Consulting in Mexico with more than 30 years of experience in corporate governance and family business services across Latin America. He specializes in providing tailored governance, internal control, and risk management services for multinational corporations, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions that drive organizational excellence. Guillermo’s wealth of experience, combined with a deep understanding of corporate governance, sets him apart as a thought leader and trusted advisor.

Over the course of his career, Guillermo held senior positions in several major institutions. He was the general auditor and controller at Banamex, where he led internal audit operations for international branches across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. In addition, Guillermo served as a senior partner at Deloitte leading corporate governance and family business, internal control, and risk management services for Mexico and Latin America.

Guillermo is the author of 12 books on corporate governance and regularly contributes to thought leadership through publications and radio segments.

Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Guillermo founded Asesores de Consejo y Alta Dirección (ACAD) and developed the firm into a market leader, achieving success with over 850 corporate governance cases, many of which are companies listed in Mexican and international stock exchange markets.
