Juan Bosco de la Rocha

Juan Bosco is a managing director at Andersen Consulting in Spain. With more than 25 years of experience in consulting, he has led national and international strategy and competitive intelligence projects across diverse sectors, including telecommunications, insurance, energy, industry, banking, healthcare, and retail. Prior to joining Andersen Consulting, Juan was was the founding partner and CEO of Braintrust, where he led the strategy and competitive intelligence practices, while also overseeing the insurance and energy sectors.

Throughout his career, Juan has served as an independent advisor to the executive committee of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers and has been a board member for several prominent business groups. His vast experience, combined with his strategic vision and leadership, makes him a key driver of growth and innovation within the firm and across the sectors he leads.

One of his key accomplishments includes the development of the Competitor Observatory, a proprietary benchmarking methodology created with his competitive intelligence team. This methodology has been successfully implemented across multiple sectors in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Chile, and Brazil. Notably, Juan has advised a regional auto insurance mutual for over a decade, guiding its transformation into a leading national multi-line company. Additionally, in the energy sector, he helped a major Spanish energy company strengthen its market position following liberalization, and supported its entry into the Portuguese market where it became one of the top three electricity providers.
