Benjamín J. Prieto

Benjamín Prieto is a Partner at Andersen in Spain. He is the Managing Partner of the Valencia office and he leads the Litigation department in the Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla offices.

He previously worked in Olleros Abogados and Deiuris, where he spent most of his career as a Partner.

BBenjamín specializes in criminal matters and has experience in socio-economic crime and criminal liability of legal persons (criminal compliance). He also specializes in intellectual and industrial property as arbitrator in the Arbitration Court of the BAR Association of Valencia.

Benjamín has extensive experience in corporate law and participated in complex banking products as a civil and corporate mediator. Benjamín is also a specialist in civil and criminal procedural law. He was involved in all types of civil and criminal lawsuits and many bankruptcy proceedings. He has extensive experience in the public sector as well, where he represented numerous municipal corporations and local authorities in different criminal proceedings.

Benjamín teaches Criminal Law and coordinates the Criminal Module Master of Law at the Universidad Europea de Valencia. He is the Director of the post-graduate course and teaches a criminal procedure course at the Bar Association of Valencia. Moreover, he is lecturer in the Master's Degree of International Law at ISDE and FIDE.

Benjamín is a co-author for the Practical Manual on Compliance, in the chapter "Regulatory Compliance in the Spanish Pharmaceutical Sector", published by Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros and Thomson Reuters. Moreover, he is the author of numerous articles and publications, as well as speaker at various seminars and conferences.
