Serdar graduated from the German High School in 1983 and from the Department of Business Administration of Istanbul University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree. He also completed his master's degree in Finance at Istanbul University and his MBA at the University of New Haven, USA.
He has previously worked as a senior manager at several companies in Turkey. Before joining Andersen in Turkey, he served as a partner working with international companies for eight years.
Currently, he continues his activities at international level at Andersen in Turkey. He is Certified Public Accountant registered under the Law No. 3568.
